Hello there,

I'm entirely new to all this, so I could be asking a very silly question here...
I would like to replace the entire header, i.e. the background and logo images (including the silver layer under the logo) with one large image. Is this possible?

That is absolutely possible.
You can check out this website fabulous30s.co.uk
It has just one image on the whole header.
But you`ll have to figure out how to do it. Or look around the forum or seek help.

Also if you are able to do it. Provide the how to info for others aswell

One point to add for noobies: If the height of your header image is not 144, then you'll need to find the file css/(yourcolor).css and look for:

.header{border-top:1px solid #999;height:144px;border-bottom:1px solid #CCC;position:relative;}

Change the 144 to be the height of your own header image
